This is adapting. they are using technology to do things they may have done in the past. Also this seems a little to open ended: information of thier choice,lol.
It seems like the students are merely using excel software to do familiar graphing tasks. I think this is an adaptation scenario. It seems that they are doing more than just practicing the use of the software, but certainly they are not using their computers to transform their info in a new, more in-depth product.
I agree but not totally...I think this has a transforming component in that students need to be able to decide which format is going to fit their information...it also does not limit them to specific
Having been in the regular classroom for 22 years, I appreciate the complexities of teaching today. For the last three years I have been a Certified eMINTS Trainer/Mentor and my job is to coach teachers in using inquiry-based teaching in a technology-rich environment. Working with 19 different school districts is a challenging job, but one I look forward to every day.

I agree...definitly at the adaptive level.
jen - I also agree that it is adaptive. Students aren;t doing anything new just the same in a new way.
